The Cyber & Privacy Intern will support the Cyber, Privacy, and Emerging Technologies Legal team in advancing the company’s Global Privacy Program. This internship will provide hands-on exposure to data protection, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence governance, and data management issues within a complex government contracting environment. The Intern will work alongside privacy and cybersecurity attorneys and professionals, gaining practical experience in regulatory research, contract support, privacy program operations, and cross-functional collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities:
Privacy and Cyber Regulatory Research
Conduct research on U.S. and international privacy and data protection laws and summarize findings for internal stakeholders.
Monitor developments in privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data governance regulations.
Assist in preparing briefing materials and internal guidance documents related to emerging regulatory requirements.
Contract and Data Protection Support
Support the review of contract provisions related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection.
Assist in reviewing and organizing Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), and Data Security Addenda.
Help track contractual privacy and cybersecurity obligations in coordination with Legal, Contracts, and Supply Chain teams.
Privacy Program Operations
Assist in maintaining privacy compliance documentation, policies, and program resources.
Support tracking of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) or similar risk assessment activities.
Help prepare materials related to data governance, AI oversight, and privacy-by-design initiatives.
Contribute to internal privacy awareness and training initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Political Science, Public Policy, Business, Computer Science, Legal Studies, or a related field.
Demonstrated interest in data privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence governance, or technology law.
Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
