We’re seeking a Business Development Associate Director to drive growth across our Wealth business in Mexico, partnering with key intermediaries including asset managers, private banks, independent advisors, family and multi-family offices, and digital platforms.

This is a highly client-facing role focused on developing and deepening strategic relationships with medium to high-value clients across both metro and non-metro markets. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, leveraging your knowledge of capital markets and Vanguard’s products to deliver tailored solutions, generate new business, and strengthen long-term partnerships. Success in this role requires strong sales acumen, relationship management expertise, and the ability to translate complex investment strategies into meaningful client outcomes.

**This Hybrid role (in office Tues-Wed-Thurs) is based in Mexico City, MX**

Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute a strategic sales plan to drive new business and retention, aligned with Vanguard’s values and Code of Ethics
  • Grow awareness and adoption of Vanguard’s products and services through targeted prospecting and client engagement (calls, meetings, seminars, conferences)
  • Build, manage, and expand relationships with intermediaries by understanding their business models, client needs, and investment philosophy
  • Serve as a trusted advisor—matching client goals with appropriate Vanguard solutions and delivering timely, relevant insights
  • Develop deep expertise in capital markets, industry trends, and Vanguard offerings to effectively position solutions with clients and prospects
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and educational events to strengthen relationships and generate actionable sales opportunities
  • Utilize virtual tools and in-person engagement to effectively reach clients across diverse geographic markets
  • Collaborate with internal sales partners and support teams to deliver a seamless client experience
  • Contribute to special projects and broader business initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a sales or client-facing role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
  • Proven ability to build and manage client relationships and drive business growth
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills

Nice to Have:

  • Progress toward or completion of MBA, CFA, or CIM
  • AMIB Certification (Investment Strategies Advisor – Series 210)
