Identify and escalate compliance risks, issues and breaches.
Report compliance risks, issues and breaches to the Head of Compliance as well as the appropriate governance structures to which Compliance reports.
Ensure that non-compliance matters are dealt with decisively in accordance with the level of risk and Astron Energy’s compliance risk appetite.

Make recommendations for the implementation of compliance controls that are pragmatic and appropriate for the Astron Energy business and its level of maturity.
Make compliance related recommendations and decisions that are in the best interest of Astron Energy and its customers.
Be flexible and willing to provide support and assistance with compliance matters which do not fall in your direct area of responsibility (for example: whistleblowing investigations, KYC, TPDD etc.)
Prioritise the support to business for the completion and maintenance of compliance risk management plans in terms of agreed timelines.

In the future, develop the capacity to manage a compliance team and ensure all tasks are executed timeously and are of the appropriate standard.

Professional Qualification and Certifications:
LLB, CPRAC
Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in compliance role.
Experience in working in a centralized compliance model.
Proven experience in the identification, assessment, management, monitoring and reporting of compliance risks and breaches.
Proven experience in the compiling and maintenance of Compliance Risk Management Plans,
Supporting on compliance related projects,
Providing advice on compliance matters as well as the design and implementation of compliance controls.
Proven experience in assisting the business with the analysis and implementation of new compliance requirements.
Presenting and engaging with senior and executive management.
Compiling reports for the relevant governance structures to which compliance reports.
Knowledge and skills: Knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry (preferred but not required)
