Who You Are
As the Supplier Analyst, you will collect and analyze key performance indicators associated with suppliers (sellers) enrolled in TCGplayer’s Supply Chain programs (ie: Direct). You will use these metrics to monitor overall program health and suggest updates to policies and procedures in accordance with Continuous Improvement priorities. You will use Quality Management principles to establish supplier benchmarks and ensure procedures exist where noncompliance is identified.

The Seller Operations Team within the Continuous Improvement Department of TCGplayer defines the policies and procedures that govern how suppliers interact with Supply Chain operations. We act as the connective tissue between suppliers and TCGplayer operations. We prioritize the health of TCGplayer programs while ensuring fairness and clarity regarding our supplier-facing policies so that TCGplayer and our business partners grow together.

The Impact You Will Make Here 

• Continuously analyze performance data to understand supplier value to TCGplayer’s Supply Chain. Use this data to make supplier management recommendations that prioritize program health.

• Establish and prepare quarterly supplier business reviews with recommended actions.

• Identify program and procedural gaps in policy monitoring and enforcement and propose solutions.

• Where data capture for seller performance does not exist, work with Business Intelligence, Authentication Center Operations, RnD, and others to develop sound, reliable, and repeatable data reporting. Where reporting does exist, continuously improve reporting for effectiveness and appropriateness (ie: Seller Scorecards).

• Coordinate communication efforts between TCGplayer and suppliers by partnering with supplier-facing teams such as Seller Growth and Success, Customer Experience, and Seller Experience. 

• Occasionally assist in communicating directly with suppliers to address compliance and/or quality issues.

• Additional duties as assigned.

• The analyst is responsible for independently managing data collection, analysis, and reporting. They ensure the accuracy and integrity of data, translating complex information into actionable insights for leadership.

What You Bring to the Team

• 2-3 years of statistical data analysis in Supply Chain setting, or equivalent experience

• Demonstrated proficiency with spreadsheet programs such as Google Sheets and Excel

• Track record of being self-motivated, with the ability to self-generate tasks based on high level goals

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams

• Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization

• Ability to work on-site at TCGplayer HQ in Syracuse, NY

$61,200 - $94,050

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
