Job Description:
The Sales Analyst is responsible for supporting strategic departmental goals that add value to the organization. The role will support Gulf’s sales team by managing day-to-day customer interactions, including billing, allocations, dispatching, customer setup, and assistance with market analysis. The analyst will monitor contract entry, current and new customer performance, and help improve customer relationships. This analyst will perform duties related to day-to-day sales, business development and account management.
What You'll Do:
Track costs, quotes, BOLs, freight rates, contract disputes, and deal entry, ensuring all necessary information is available to both the sales and accounting teams.
Runs analytics for the Sales team evaluating competitive/new opportunities
Acts as the intermediary between groups to ensure all information is accounted for in one central location
Possesses superior telephone, communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively and positively with people at all levels, both internally and externally
Ensure all contracts and deals are entered correctly and lifted in accordance with agreements
Collaborates with Accounting Department to review and resolve invoicing errors from vendors
Acts as an internal consultant to various managers in the formulation of business decisions, action plans, and formal bids for new/existing business
Supports sales with new business development and account management
Coordinates industry and trade specific sales generation efforts
Cultivates current customer relationships
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with a focus on business, finance, logistics, communications, or related field preferred
0-5 years professional experience, finance, logistics, business administration preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, SQL, PowerBI , experience with logistics software
