  • Proven ability to provide operational support by generating and/or updating top assembly models
  • Proven ability provide operational support by generating and/or updating top Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Proven ability to provide assembly support by designing and fabricating assembly tooling
  • Proven ability to support pad print operations by generating plates and transparencies
  • Proven ability to support pad print operations by designing and fabricating support fixtures
  • Proven skills to process sales request by generating custom images using customer specifications and original artwork
  • Proven ability to think creatively and provide input in new product development
  • Proven ability to perform product testing of proposed new configurations and prototypes
  • Proven skills to test and perform due diligence on new parts, materials, methods, etc.
  • Proven ability to support QA by investigating product failures from customers and/or assembly
  • Proven ability to support QA by investigating barrel scale and/or dosing failures
  • Train workers in engineering group upon hire as well as providing training to operational employees on new tooling or parts as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 year degree or equivalent certifications in engineering technology, tool design, and/or CAD drafting
  • Four years or more related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Proven ability to read and comprehend documents such as standard operating procedures (SOPS), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), technical drawings, pick sheets, manufacturing documents, safety rules, and maintenance instructions written in English
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is valued but not required

MATHEMATICAL AND COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient in Solidworks and other CAD programs required for the job
  • Proficient ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Proven ability to work with customers, sales, and/or management in order to understand problems or new product opportunities
  • Proven ability to analyze problems, determine root cause, and propose solutions for problems found in assembly operations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Certifications or training of Solidworks and/or other CAD programs

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will mainly work in an office setting.  As assistance in assembly is needed, the employee may encounter moving material handling equipment, man-powered presses and is occasionally exposed to hot and cold conditions in a warehouse without climate controls.
  • The employee may have responsibilities requiring use of power tool equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
