We are looking for a Stress Analyst to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.

Your Responsibilities:

As a member of our Mechanical Design Engineering team, you will perform preliminary and detailed level analysis critical to the overall success of our products.

Your Challenge:

  • Analysis of pressure vessels, bolted joints, fasteners, and other structural components in the EMD product lines

  • ASME Code analysis and analysis to other pressure vessel and engineering codes

  • Fracture mechanics analysis, fatigue analysis, and other advanced mechanical analysis of commercial and government nuclear grade equipment as well as commercial process equipment

What you Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

  • Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis.

  • Proficiency with hand calculations for stress analysis and machine design.

  • Experience with ASME Code analysis and analysis to other structural codes.

  • Experience with ANSYS APDL.

  • Must be a sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.

  • Thermal stress analysis experience is considered a benefit as well as commercial nuclear industry design and analysis experience.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred.
