General Description: The Manager of Anesthesia Advanced Practice Providers is a clinician and administrative leader who supports the enhancement of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs)in the Anesthesia service line, within the OU Health system. They work closely with leadership, clinical department physician leadership, clinical department operational leaders, and interprofessional colleagues on APP regulatory compliance, work expectations, credentialing, and professional issues, and help field and manage day to day issues that involve practicing OU Health Anesthesia CRNAs and CAAs.
Essential Responsibilities:

Hiring & orientation of new CRNAs and CAAs (in collaboration with business and medical leaders).
Oversees Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE).
Performance evaluations in collaboration with the Physician teams.
Time, attendance, and schedule oversite in collaboration with the physician teams.
CME benefit tracking.
Monitoring CRNA and CAA clinical work expectations in partnership with OUH Leadership.
Supports key strategic initiatives and goals of the Office for Advanced Practice.
Supports OAP and system wide projects that are aimed at advancing CRNA and CAA practice, education, and research initiatives.
Serves as expert for APP related questions/issues for health system partners.
Participates in interprofessional partnerships to best support high quality care for the patients and their families at OU Health.
Supports OU Health mission and vision with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Remains current on national and regional trends and changes within the CRNA and CAA role, the organization and health care delivery system.

Clinical department reporting for practice responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education Required:
Master’s degree in Nursing. Relative Doctoral degree preferred.
Graduate of a nurse anesthesia education program, accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) Council of Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
Experience: 3 or more years in clinical practice required as a CRNA. 5 or more years in clinical practice with demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
A combination of education, clinical performance, and leadership experience can be utilized to meet minimum requirements.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required:
Active RN and APRN license in State of Oklahoma with prescriptive authority
NBCRNA certification
PALS or ACLS certified
Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
Required Skills:

Evidence of successful collaborations with APPs, CRNAs, CAAs, and Physician colleagues.

Flexible and capable of responding to multiple demands in a time-sensitive manner.
Ability to exercise thoughtful judgment in all matters related to CRNAs & CAAs.
Sufficient with MS Office applications.
Must understand basic concepts related to billing and revenue.
Excellent working knowledge of the CRNA & CAA scope of practice.
