Position Overview:

We're looking for a Student Success Training Specialist who is passionate about higher education, student engagement, and student retention.

What you'll do: 

  • Develop Training Modules: Create and refine training materials for coaches to help students design their lives, achieve career goals, complete their AA degrees, and engage students who are prone to ghosting.
  • Facilitate Workshops: Lead training workshops and manage the onboarding process for new coaches.
  • Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Continuously improve training programs using feedback and assessments.
  • Mentorship: Provide ongoing mentorship and professional development support to coaches.

About you:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, in individual and group settings, including ability to deal tactfully with and inspire students.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required
  • One to three years experience in academic advising, mentoring, or counseling or related careers in post-secondary education, or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of the position
  • Experience delivering social- emotional support and guidance to students of varying backgrounds, abilities, outlooks, ages, and nationalities including first generation college students.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic: takes initiative to identify gaps and propose projects and directions for work: A self-starter who is very curious about improving things and brings fresh ideas.
  • Nimble and adaptable - excited about collaborating with a tightly knit team to problem solver
