This is a hybrid role based out of our Headquarters office in Portland, OR. In-office expectation is a minimum of 3 days a week.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Join our licensing team and play a key role in creating strategies for and growing the licensed product revenue for Columbia Sportswear. We work with external partners to develop licensed products right for the market, consumers and brand. As the Sr Licensing Specialist you will partner with the Licensing Director and CSC’s licensed partners in the implementation of strategies to maximize royalty revenue generated through the sale of licensed products. Within this role you will facilitate connections between Licensees and Columbia, to improve Licensees’ business capabilities, as well as their understanding of and adherence to Columbia standards. You will be relied upon to provide financial, marketing, sales and contractual support for inbound and outbound licensing partners.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Schedule and moderate quarterly financial reporting calls with each licensee to obtain quarterly figures for reporting deadlines, monitor projections/forecasts on the year from each licensee, and gauge overall business performance across account distribution
Review information from licensees, licensors and various CSC teams, including CSC technology teams that manage various product data systems and downstream recipients of licensed product data, to ensure data quality, completeness, and availability. Analyze and compile historical sales data
Participate in the product approval process through review of CADs and final samples for all licensed product categories. Manage complete process of approval for all marketing & advertising collateral (fixture programs, catalogs, sales sheets, POP, ads, posters, etc.)
Seek out new product types with existing licensees to expand category lines of market-right, brand-enhancing products for Columbia Sportswear and Pacific Trail. Develop new product category opportunities to increase royalty revenue
Collaborate with global CSC Retail buyers, Wholesale sales team and international regions on sales opportunities. Manage international sales meeting events for licensees. Attend N.A. CSC retail sales presentations by Licensees
Possess detailed knowledge of licensed contract agreements (royalty rates and minimums, sales, territorial rights, distribution channels, product limitations, etc.) and ensure each licensee is compliant with all terms across each contract

Capable of applying high attention to detail, prioritization and organization to a high volume of varied projects
Timely, efficient and familiar with deadline driven work
Adept at handling confidential and/or sensitive information
YOU HAVE
5+ years professional experience managing projects and/or operations within a business environment
Proven experience partnering and influencing across business groups
Analytical skillset with an ability to interpret complex financial data, make informed decisions and problem-solve
Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and drive for innovation
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite – specifically Excel (advanced skills), Outlook and PowerPoint
required. Illustrator experience a bonus
