The Operational Risk Executive Manager Business Partner will be responsible for driving and implementing the operational risk and controls framework with the business units the role is aligned to.
As a leader, you required to promote a strong risk culture that embodies AAF’s cultural principles, aligns to AAF’s code of conduct whilst balancing commercial and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities;
Lead and oversee the implementation and execution of all aspects of the Risk Framework within the aligned business unit, with the aim to increase effectiveness and efficiency of the operational processes and reducing operational losses in line with the risk profile
Facilitate the Operational Risk and control self-assessment process and ensure that the risk profile of the business and are current and comprehensive to meet current regulatory guidelines
Proactively collaborate with key stakeholders to support the enhancement and embedment of the operational risk management framework within the aligned business unit, ensuring that a pragmatic approach is taken in designing and implementing the controls.
Support the proactive and effective monitoring, management and reporting of current and emerging risks and facilitate a strong risk culture, risk awareness and ownership of risk within the aligned business unit.
Delivering ongoing thought leadership, advice, support and education to the aligned business unit on operational risk management including for the identification, assessment, root cause analysis actioning and remediation of risk issues.
Support the business unit manage Risk in Change through the direct and indirect (achieved through coaching, training and advise to stakeholders) identification and management of risks that will be introduced through business initiatives.
Qualifications;
Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or equivalent.
Relevant industry and other professional qualifications, e.g. ACAMS, CA, CISA, CIA, CFA, FRM, MBA (desirable).
Experience;
Significant experience in Operational Risk (first or second line) essential. Strong preference for experience working in as a business partner.
Financial Services experience with a strong risk management and operational risk, control development and testing background.
Business process knowledge.
Experience with working with senior and Executive level stakeholders.
Control testing (design and operating effectiveness) experience required.
