As a Mexico BPA Sr. Associate supporting the LATAM Vision Care BPA Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations and consolidation of the Vision Care & Surgical franchises for Mexico. The position encompasses comprehensive financial planning and analysis, overseeing monthly and quarterly processes, supporting month-end close activities, and contributing to the establishment of operating plans. Key responsibilities include conducting detailed variance reporting, scenario analysis, and ad hoc financial modeling to provide actionable insights. The Senior Financial Planning Analyst will also partner closely with business leadership to drive informed decision-making and support the

franchise's growth objectives through accurate forecasting and data-driven analysis.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes, including forecasting, variance analysis, commission reporting, and statutory compliance for Mexico.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models aligned with business goals, updating them based on market conditions and performance metrics.
  • Document and optimize financial processes across Surgical and Vision Care to ensure scalability and seamless transitions.
  • Conduct variance analysis and performance tracking, presenting findings and improvement plans to senior management.
  • Integrate data from multiple systems (ASPIRE, APMR, SAP) and streamline reporting for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare MFRs and QBRs, including templates, decks, and financial insights to support strategic discussions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to consolidate inputs and ensure consistent financial messaging.
  • Maintain and enhance financial models and reporting tools to support evolving franchise’s needs.
  • Provide timely, relevant financial insights to leadership for planning and performance
  • management.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and scenario-based forecasting to support business decisions.
  • Ensure disciplined use of financial systems and continuously seek optimization opportunities.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics
  • At least two (2) years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) roles
  • Innately curious and possesses a solid ability to think creatively and develop new solutions
  • Exceptional analytical abilities, capable of using data tools to drive decision-making and managing large pools of data in Excel
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP & BI tools and practical experience analyzing data, program metrics, and performance
  • Proactive communication style with the ability to build/foster relationships with business partners
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills, along with quantitative, interpersonal, and analytical skills
