We are looking for results-driven, technically curious Project Manager to lead our Engineering Project Management group. You are dependable, understand priorities and approach your work with an analytical mindset. You are a collaborative team member who likes to brainstorm and partner with team members to meet shared goals. You drive organization and efficiency where it does not currently exist to ensure strong project execution.

Job Overview

As a Head of Engineering Project Management at Ohmium, you will be part of a talented engineering team working on electrolyzer products. You are a problem solver and know that there are multiple ways to find solutions through open dialogue and collaboration across teams. You are a leader capable of driving cross functional coordination within global teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop the project plan, overseeing the execution of projects, ensuring all the related activities are performed in accordance with schedule commitments.
  • Coordinate with teams to identify, prioritize and track risks to improve product quality
  • Lead project team, project hand-over to the NPI and production teams and collaboration with both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
  • Work closely with Engineering Teams during System Engineering, Stack Engineering, and cross functional teams to drive development and continuous improvement in Ohmium products
  • Monitor each stage of the project and facilitate communication and interaction amongst the team and cross functional representatives.
  • Document and present detailed estimates of cost, time, and capability, track project schedules and deliverables against goals.
  • Report status to project team, supervisor, and business unit leadership on a regular basis
  • Risk management and implement recovery plans for the parts of project that are off schedule
  • Support operations and engineering teams towards the ongoing agile product development and standardized process development to continually improve effectiveness of project and production teams.
  • Provide feedback regarding employee performance on a program team to the functional manager for documentation.

Required Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials or technically equivalent discipline
  • 8+ years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing company, focused on high technology products.
  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management of materials and testing projects.
  • Experience with manufacturing operations, such as scheduling, procurement, manufacturing/assembly, test engineering, and quality systems.
  • Strong English communication skills – both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects within a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, critical thinking skills, especially the ability to understand, and resolve conflicts and provide meaningful feedback to project stake holders on project risks.
  • Motivated to act, with the ability to hold oneself and others accountable to deliverables.
  • Proficient with MS Office Programs, including MS Project or similar project management software.

Preferred Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • Experience in handling projects with agile or SCRUM methodology.
  • Experience in Development Engineering or Operations
  • Previous experience in the renewable energy sector.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment.
