We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Private Markets Analyst to support the operational management of private markets transactions, with a focus on loan processing, borrowings, payment schedule monitoring, and data accuracy across private debt, senior loans, term loans, alternative investments, and private equity. This role is responsible for ensuring transactions and security master data are accurately established in internal systems, supporting a strong control environment, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high-quality service delivery.

The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in private markets middle office operations, strong knowledge of loans and senior loan structures, and the ability to operate effectively in a controlled, deadline-driven environment.

Position Responsibilities:

Loan Processing and Borrowing Administration

  • Process and monitor borrowings, including drawdowns, repayments, interest-related activity, and other lifecycle events for private debt, senior loans, and term loans

  • Review loan-related documentation and transaction details to ensure all borrowing activity is recorded completely and accurately

  • Monitor payment schedules for principal, interest, fees, capital calls, and income distributions to ensure timely processing and settlement

  • Coordinate with internal teams, custodians, counterparties, and external clients to resolve breaks, exceptions, and operational issues affecting loan and private markets transactions

Data Validation and Security Setup

  • Review and validate Security Master File data fields in the Deal Origination System (DealGen) across private asset classes, including private debt, term loans, alternative investments, and private equity

  • Ensure all setup details are complete and accurate against source documents for proper booking in the Accounting Book of Record (SCD)

  • Partner with the deal setup team to identify and resolve discrepancies during the origination process

  • Maintain a high level of data quality to support downstream accounting, reporting, and operational processes

Transaction Processing and Middle Office Oversight

  • Manage the timely and accurate processing of Private Markets transactions, including fundings (capital calls), income distributions, loan cash flows, and transaction postings

  • Oversee middle office functions, including Reconciliation, Cash processing, corporate action processing and Transaction posting direction

  • Serve as an escalation point for operational issues and support resolution in accordance with established procedures and controls

Compliance, Controls, and Audit Support

  • Adhere to and reinforce SOX documentation requirements for both Key and Non-Key controls, particularly for private markets and loan-related activity

  • Help maintain a robust control environment by ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with documented procedures and escalation protocols

  • Continuously assess existing controls and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related discipline preferred

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in Private Markets, with strong exposure to middle office operations, preferably within banking, financial services, or asset management

  • Working knowledge of loans and senior loans, borrowing transactions and payment schedules, private debt and other private markets instruments

  • Experience operating in a controlled environment with strong adherence to procedures and escalation protocols

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good understanding of the investment management industry and a strong desire to deepen industry knowledge

  • Familiarity with private markets operations, including private debt, private equity, capital calls, distributions, and loan-related servicing

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools

  • Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Client-focused mindset with the ability to understand and respond effectively to client requirements

  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability

  • Ability to work under pressure, react quickly, and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
