Job Description 

As a Principal Architect at CoverMyMeds, you’ll create solutions that make our healthcare system work more efficiently and effectively in order to help millions of people receive their prescription medications every year. You’ll desing products that our partners in healthcare use every day and innovate products that don't even exist yet. You’ll work on small, cross-functional and collaborative teams with endless opportunities to take on responsibility, continue learning and mentor others.

What You’ll Do

CoverMyMeds has built many products to solve complex Healthcare problems. You will consult stakeholders across the organization and design solutions that enhance and accelerate our capabilities to delivery more effective healthcare services.

Minimum Requirements

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 13+ years, with 8+ y ears, of direct work related experience. 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to business and technical senior leadership discussions about current and future software engineering needs and creates technical roadmap(s) on how to solve.
  • Apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts in the IT architecture field by performing technical planning, architecture development, and developing specifications for new products/services, applications, and service offerings.
  • Defines standards and best practices to ensure consistency, scalability, and reliability across the organization.​​
  • Present to and consult with senior leadership do develop strategic solutions to complex problems.
  • Consults with and mentors technical teams on effective implementation of new technologies.

Critical Skills:  

  • Expert experience developing and implementing microservice and event-driven platforms.
  • Proficient in cloud technologies.
  • Architects and oversees proper implementation of organization-wide software solutions.
  • In-house expert / thought leader and lends expert advise on software engineering initiatives
  • Stays at the forefront of emerging technologies and trends, recommends opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage​, and conducts proofs of concept when necessary to demonstrate technology value

  • Able to understand highly complex challenges and propose aigned, solutions
  • Able to work effectively with multiple competing business and technical constraints.
  • Present to and influence a diverse number of audiences to  influence strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Leads or consults on highly complex and/or long-term projects that have organization-wide impact.
  • Ability to plan and execute on LRP strategies that balances business, financial, and technical constraints.
  • Cultivates a culture of collaboration, communication, and accountabilit
  • Strong grasp on healthcare industry, long-term business strategies, and risk management

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$165,100 - $275,100
