Position Summary

Responsible for analyzing institutional data and international trends for informed decision making for a recruitment plan in support of school’s enrollment and strategic plan to diversify our pipeline. This job will have significant impact on the recruitment and composition of the incoming graduate cohorts. This position will have a far-reaching impact on the perception of school and WashU by prospective employers, future prospective students, and competing academic institutions.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Projects and Initiatives: Develop and/or execute initiatives to support recruiting. Support team members in their initiatives and strategies.
  • Scholarship and Admission Decisions: Participate in the scholarship and admissions committee periodically; provide admissions and scholarship decision recommendations relied on by the committees.
  • Interviews & Prospective Student Engagement: Interview, meet, and engage prospective applicants and students strategically through deep knowledge of the law school and legal careers. Conduct 10 or more 20–minute interviews daily and ensure accurate, helpful notes for each during busy interview time periods. Must stay focused and engaged for extended periods of time. Collaborate with leadership to hone interview strategies. Travel to represent the School of Law at conferences and panels. Present to prospective students.
  • Data and Training: Work with leadership to maximize efficiencies and use of data. Maximize and manage databases and data for efficient and effective impact on recruiting efforts. Educate self and train office on substantive information about law school, law careers, data, and more to support education of entire office.
  • Administrative: Provide backup administrative support to the front desk and overall office; support individualized experiences for prospective students; provide much of one's own administrative support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work outside normal office hours as needed.
  • Availability for evening/weekend activities and extended hours during peak seasons.

Salary Range

$49,700.00 - $82,100.00 / Annually
