What is the ETF Canada group responsible for?

The Senior ETF Sales Associate will work very closely with the Canadian ETF team, part of the global ETF team managing over $25b USD in ETF in growing and expanding our ETF AUM in Canada.

What is the Senior ETF Sales Associate responsible for?

The Senior ETF Sales Associate will work closely in growing and generating sales of Franklin Templeton ETFs in Ontario, supporting the SVP – Head of Retail ETF distribution in business development.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior ETF Sales Associate?

  • Support Head of Retail ETF Distribution with business development for Ontario.

  • Develop relationships with key investment advisors in territory and partner with local FT sales team to drive ETF sales.  

  • Educate, train and interact with other distribution areas and partners within Franklin Templeton to enhance awareness of the ETF offerings.

  • Maintaining knowledge of industry related topics (industry flows, trends, competitor launches, etc.)

  • Maintaining updated activity logs in contact management system.

  • Generate new sales ideas and supporting existing & new ETFs.

  • Assist with product specific analysis (client requests, head to head comparisons, and positioning).

  • Keep abreast on macroeconomic developments relevant for our ETF range and positioning.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree ideally within the field of Finance and/or economics or equivalent work experience.

  • 2-3 years of experience in inside sales, sales strategy, and or product strategy. ETF experience preferable.

  • Ideally CFA, CIMA, CIM, or working towards the qualification.

  • Proficient in Excel with ability to manipulate data in a spreadsheet / Bloomberg / PowerPoint (ability to create and edit slides).

  • Strong understanding of financial markets, good knowledge of the investment industry and investment management techniques.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
