What can you expect in an Senior Project Associate, AI Safety Services role with TaskUs: 

We are seeking a Senior Project Associate to drive the successful delivery of high-impact AI data initiatives. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical complexity and operational execution, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget. You will leverage foundational project management methodologies alongside a technical mindset to coordinate cross-functional teams and monitor project health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own end‑to‑end execution—from scoping and task‑template creation through annotation and deployment hand‑off.

• Coordinate cross‑functional teams: engineers, annotators, data scientists, and GTM leaders. 

• Build & automate workflows: Create Asana projects for Work Breakdown Structure. 

• Track & report KPIs: timelines, throughput, quality, margin, and resource utilisation—dashboards in Looker, Power BI, or Streamlit.

• Drive continuous improvement: identify bottlenecks, run retros, and implement SOP updates that scale to the next project.

• Maintain artifacts: Statement Of Work, Responsible Inform charts, risk registers, and knowledge‑base pages that keep the team aligned.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years managing launches for operations. Experience in AI projects, preferred but not required. 

• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum or Kanban workflows (JIRA, Asana, Linear, or similar).

• Ability to manage remote-first teams and lead data collection projects. 

• Comfort translating and communicating between technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• Project‑management excellence: scoping, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder comms.

• Tool savvy: familiarity with project management and annotation platforms (Cinder, Dataloop)

• Process mindset: identify root causes, raise risks, and help mitigate them.

Education / Certifications:

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalent.
