As a Systems Engineer, you’ll design, integrate, and optimize complex systems that drive the semiconductor industry forward. Your expertise in systems thinking and problem-solving is essential as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop advanced solutions to intricate processes and writing system specifications. You’ll be responsible for analyzing requirements, defining system architectures, conducting thorough testing, and ensuring seamless integration of subsystems. Additionally, you’ll identify and mitigate risks, confirming that our systems meet the highest quality standards and exceed customer expectations.  

 

 

Job description:   

Local expert of OPWI (optical patterned wafer inspection) systems development and support at customer sites On-site System Support

  • Owning technical leadership for OPWI systems support and providing solutions for complex task force activities, such as tool-to-tool matching, tool stability, throughput, accuracy, focus, etc.
  • Work on customer’s day to day production issues to enable smooth fab flow using our tools, and troubleshoot a wide range of difficult problems; Perform root cause analysis (HW debugging) to find tool/module problems
  • Participate in account project & TF and supporting tool evaluation for new technologies and new features in customer site as co-working with local account.
  • Perform fault isolation tests, to assist in problem resolution and customer situation management. Clear problem statement and data collection for issues that can’t be solved on site.
  • Investigate detection limitations in complex scenarios and find/develop the optimal tool configurations and workarounds for those scenarios
  • Assist in the communication and collaboration with the customer regarding tool performance issues, and their resolution path. Resolve issue and provide the proper report to the customer.
  • Develop a collaborative relationship with the customer and identify the high value problems that need PDC’s attention. Customer facing focal for technical system issues, giving presentations, and collaborating with the customer.

R&D and Tool performance improvement

  • Be a part of R&D System team and participate in developing new capabilities and optimizing them for specific customer needs
  • In order to provide solutions for customer challenges and chronic issues, such as TTTM (tool-to-tool matching) and Gap defects (defect sensitivity), contributing to prepare tool management SOP (Standard Operation Procedure) with OPWI systems group through investigating root cause and C&F, and participating in CIP and technical roadmap for next generation 
  • Providing the optimal conditions of system parameters under PDC system and physics guidance to bring tool best performance with high level of tool diagnosis and verification capability to satisfy customer required specification
  • Collaboration with PDC technology and system teams as taking on individual tasks with extensive on-tool experiments on relevant customer wafers as a part of R&D development in order to optimize the performance of the current platform, as well as develop the next generation platform.
  • Direct link between the R&D to the field / customer for any Data / Solution transfer and dialogue. May lead on site data collection and analysis to observe the option of future developments


Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, combined with minimum 3 years of relevant hands-on system development experience,
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in a related field. Entry-level candidates with a Ph.D. are encouraged to apply.

    • High analytical skills. Ability to research, analyze and understand complex system problem.
    • Independent, can work in an open environment and efficiently manage his own work. Highly motivated and determined
    • Interpersonal capabilities – ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and lead without authority as showing excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Strive for excellence. Setting and pursing high bar goals.
    • Ability to write clear technical documents and presentations to management & customer
    • Fluent communication in English on both verbal and text
    • Travel – capable for initial 1-2 months travel and later willingness for frequent visits to headquarter(2-3 times/year)
