The Data Science Senior Analyst (CL10) supports the CL9 Consultant in building, testing, and maintaining people analytics models. This role executes well-scoped analytical tasks with moderate autonomy — conducting exploratory analyses, building model components, running experiments, and preparing insight outputs. The CL10 is growing into independent model ownership and works closely with the CL9 for guidance on advanced methodological decisions. Design and configure advanced reports in Workday involving financial reporting HCM etc. to meet customers reporting needs.
What are we looking for? • Exploratory data analysis (EDA) • Feature engineering • Model building& experimentation (baseline models) • Strong understanding of Workday and Power BI environments • Python (pandas, sklearn, visualization libraries) • A/B testing • Model evaluation metrics • Model monitoring (drift, retraining) • Documentation of models & knowledge capture • Working under guidance of senior DS • Code reviews & peer collaboration • Statistical analysis • HR data familiarity • 3–6 years of experience in data science, quantitative analytics, or workforce analytics • Solid Python skills for data manipulation, visualization, and modelling (pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib/seaborn) • Working knowledge of core ML techniques: classification, regression, clustering, and model evaluation metrics • Ability to work on structured analytical tasks with moderate supervision • Exposure to HR data or people analytics use cases preferred • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative field
Roles and Responsibilities: • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) on HR datasets to surface patterns, outliers, and feature candidates for modelling • Build and test model components including feature engineering pipelines, baseline models, and evaluation scripts • Run A/B tests and model experiments; document results and present findings to the CL9 • Support the CL9 in preparing scenario planning outputs, workforce demand models, and ad-hoc statistical analyses • Maintain existing models: retrain on updated data, monitor model drift, and flag performance degradation • Prepare clear documentation for models including methodology notes, data assumptions, and result summaries • Assist in developing reusable analytics assets under the guidance of the CL9 • Participate in peer reviews of code and analytical outputs within the data science workstream
