Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Fire Protection Operation Specialist to join our team located in Hertford, NC.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs assigned firefighting and emergency response activities within established protocols and standard procedures
  • Responds to emergency calls for assistance to mitigate hazardous situations by operating specialized tools, equipment and apparatus dependent on emergency type
  • Completes the appropriate course of action within the scope of qualifications
  • Conducts inspection of fire protection equipment or systems to ensure operational readiness and compliance with applicable standards and company procedures
  • Completes appropriate documentation
  • Supports external training for emergency preparedness and safety skills to meet regulatory requirements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Certified Firefighter I & II
  • Current National Registry or U.S. State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification or the ability to obtain reciprocity, within 6 months of your start date.
  • Current Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification (EVOC)
  • Current Airport Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) Certification
  • Willing to work variable shifts; including day, evening, night and weekends

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives
  • Experience completing process-oriented tasks accurately and in an organized manner

Typical Education/Experience: 
Typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
