The Opportunity:
As a PWS Operations Planning and Support Specialist for MEU Operations you will have the opportunity to provide senior-level operational planning and advisory support in direct support of I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF). This position delivers expert guidance on Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) operations, amphibious planning, and pre-deployment training in support of PWS operational planning requirements. The Specialist serves as a trusted advisor to MEU staffs and I MEF leadership, ensuring operational plans are realistic, integrated, and executable.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a senior MEU operations subject matter expert supporting PWS operational planning requirements.
  • Provide expert advisory support to MEU staffs during pre-deployment training and certification cycles.
  • Support amphibious and expeditionary operational planning across the full planning lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with I MEF, Fleet, and external stakeholders to integrate MEU operational requirements.
  • Support development and synchronization of long-range training and deployment plans.
  • Participate in planning conferences, working groups, and operational advisory groups.
  • Provide expert input to exercise design, execution, and after-action reviews.
  • Advise leadership on MEU operational readiness, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Operate independently while delivering senior-level operational planning expertise.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent military experience).
  • 15+ years of experience in MEU, MAGTF, or amphibious operations.
  • Extensive experience supporting MEU operational planning and pre-deployment training.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise senior leaders and operational staffs.
  • Strong planning, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in complex operational environments.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior service at MEF, MEU, or Fleet operational planning levels.
  • Experience supporting Special Purpose MAGTF operations.
  • Familiarity with joint and naval operational planning processes.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$81,200 - 170,600 USD
