Overview:

We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to work on design, development, debug and test of ARINC 661 graphics library (C++) and C, and python. These are software libraries provide a generalized Cockpit display system kernel, User App interfaces & graphics rendering platform. ​

Job responsibilities:

·        To work as an independent contributor developing, enhancing, and maintaining critical cockpit display software. 

·        Communicate and coordinate effectively within the teams.

·        Build and nurture team at offshore, develop team strengths and improve upon their competency.

·        Maintain integrity and work ethics within the team.

·        Support software engineering team through the execution of planned development/verification activities.

·        Designs, develops, modifies, documents, tests, installs and supports software applications and systems.

·        Understand the interfaces and behaviors of external software and hardware components that interact with the currently developed component.

·        Provides reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems using sound problem-solving techniques.

·        Scope out dependencies, issues, risks, & escalate prior to burning 20% of the efforts.

·        Technically responsible for project milestones.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s Degree/M.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Tech and Electronics and telecommunication.

·        Experience in Software Development and Verification.

·        Strong hand on experience on C, python and C++

·        Excellent debugging skill using visual studio, understand, adapt tools etc

·        Good understanding of VAPS design tools for developing the widgets.

·        Excellent understanding of system software concepts, binary executables, debug information, OS concepts.

·        Excellent exposure on Software development and V&V activities.

·        Expertise with Software Configuration Management and Change Control Process (DOORS, SVN, JIRA, PREP, Confluence etc.).

·        Experience in using development tools, debuggers, and Lauterbach.

·        Understanding of structural coverage analysis and unit test automation tools.

·        Proficiency in Quality audits process.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree. Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
