The Administrative Coordinator IV role is a Hybrid role that includes typical responsibilities seen in both an Executive Assistant (Administrative Assistant/Clerical/Secretarial) position, and Administrative Coordinator (Program Coordinator) role. The caregiver needs to have interest in, and experience supporting both functions. They must be comfortable having two sets of responsibilities in a hybrid non-traditional role.
This role is an integral part of our Emergency Medicine team, supporting Emergency Department caregivers in delivering world-class care across Cleveland Clinic locations enterprise-wide. Team members have access to training classes to develop new skills that enhance their effectiveness in the role. Additionally, there are opportunities to participate in project management initiatives, offering valuable experience and skill-building in that area.
A caregiver in this position works M-F, 7:30am - 4:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Function as a liaison and administrative, technical and operational resource.
Assist the Director with projects and daily tasks.
Coordinate policy evaluation and implementation.
Identify operational improvement opportunities to create an efficient workplace.
Develop communications and databases.
Lead or coordinate multiple complex projects, major initiatives or policy implementations.
Update, monitor and manage databases.
Develop scorecards and milestones to track progress.
Analyze project improvement and progress.
Report discrepancies and variances.
Act as a liaison with committees, caregivers and vendors.
Facilitate project prioritization and implementation.
Assist with the scheduling, coordination, preparation and communication of meetings.
Attend meetings and record key outcomes.
Identify key milestones and deadlines.
Communicate project status and requirements to achieve results.
Research, analyze and organize information for presentations.
Develop interdepartmental education programs and assist with developing department orientation and training.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Communications, Healthcare Administration or a related field and 5 years of administrative, financial or project management experience
OR High School Diploma/GED and nine years of experience
OR Associate’s Degree and seven years of experience
OR Master’s Degree and four years of experience.
Strong computer skills and experience with software applications
Skills/qualities: multitasking, critical thinking, decisive judgment, independent, interactive, communication and customer service
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Healthcare experience
Knowledge of project management and communication practices
Experience in a leadership or supervisory role

Physical Requirements:
High degree dexterity to operate office equipment and personal computer.
May require extended periods of sitting and frequent standing.
Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.
