Role Summary: The Manager, Corporate Accounting is responsible for managing general ledger operations, revenue and vendor accrual processes, and SOX compliance to ensure financial accuracy, audit readiness, and operational scalability. This role leads month-end close execution, strengthens accounting controls, and drives process improvements while serving as a primary escalation point within Corporate Accounting. The position reports to the Director of Corporate Accounting and supports enterprise-level financial integrity.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end general ledger close process for assigned areas, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely execution.
Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations, maintaining high standards of technical accounting accuracy and documentation.
Oversee revenue and vendor accrual processes, ensuring proper cutoff, completeness, and alignment with company policies.
Ensure accounting policies and close procedures are documented, maintained, and updated as processes evolve.
Lead SOX compliance efforts for assigned processes, ensuring controls operate effectively and documentation supports audit readiness.
Identify, assess, and escalate accounting risks and control gaps, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
Partner cross-functionally with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting and operational alignment.
Key Competencies
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting principles.
Expertise in month-end close processes and accrual accounting.
Demonstrated experience building, leading, and developing accounting teams that deliver financial accuracy, maintain strong internal controls, and drive continuous process improvement.
Ability to execute and maintain effective internal controls within a SOX-compliant environment, partnering with Internal Audit to ensure readiness and timely remediation.
Structured problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex or non-routine accounting matters.
Process improvement mindset focused on scalability and operational rigor.
Clear and effective communication with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership.
Required Experience
At least 7 to 9 years of accounting experience, including a mix of public and corporate accounting experience.
At least 2 years of people management experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
CPA.
Experience operating within a SOX-compliant environment.
Strong proficiency in ERP systems and account reconciliation tools.
Preferred Experience
Master’s degree.
Prior experience at a Big 4 or national public accounting firm.
Starting Compensation including Base + Bonus + Equity: $151,000
Location: Las Vegas HQ - Onsite for 5 days per week
