The Lead Application Developer is responsible for participating in the management of the design, development, and enhancement of the applications and software platforms supported by their respective development team members. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Apply technical vision and experience to design innovative and pragmatic solutions
  • Apply leadership skills to lead small-medium cross-functional teams through the project lifecycle culminating in successful application deployments
  • Function as a team liaison and interface with all levels of management and the business user community
  • Serve as mentor and training resource for other team members
  • Evolve our standards and processes based on industry best practices and compliance standards such BJ's SDLC as well as SOX, PCI, and PII regulations
  • Provide on-call support for our applications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or Business administration degree is preferred 
  • Experience coordinating complex development projects 
  • Proven system analysis and design skills, and aptitude for guiding programming and system development 
  • Working knowledge of software used by system development group 
  • Understanding of the SDLC and SOX requirements 
  • 5 plus years of experience in the analysis, design and implementation of complex business systems 

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $15.00.
