Responsibilities:

  • Business planning and implementation of strategies
    • LTP & AOP Planning: Support the long-term strategic planning process with market insights to help facilitate the generation and prioritization of the business’ long term priorities
    • Whitespace & under index category identification: Identify and analyze new business opportunities and growth initiatives – new products, channel expansion, consumer segmentation, strategic partnerships
    • Collaborate with sales/marketing/creative teams to identify market trends and insights (consumers, products, and channels) and help formulate positioning and expansion strategies (category focus, marketing plan, etc.)
  • Contract pre-approval
    • Review, evaluate and approve new & renewal contracts in coordination with internal stakeholders
    • Drive improvements to the sales planning process – deal analysis, sales planning, prospecting and pitching, and deal negotiation
    • Provide leadership and support for licensing teams to optimize deal renewals, assess prospective licensees and their business plans, evaluate marketing investments
  • Business Operations
    • Track, evaluate and drive improvement of key business initiatives: Marketing campaign pitching & ER forecast, Movie pitching & ER forecast, Contract renewal progress, etc.
    • Provide FHBP category business support: product quality and safety management, 85/15 management, and pitching solution
    • Provide operation system support: ILS, PI issue communication, hologram management
    • Anti-piracy and audit coordination
    • Help improve licensing team efficiency and effectiveness – implement best practices, develop deal analysis frameworks, improve sales planning tools
    • Help provide learning and development opportunities to licensing team – deal analysis, sales planning, workshops, case studies, etc.
  • Cross function collaboration and projects management:
    • Cross border deal initiative and coordination
    • Synergy deal with Studio and media, Corporate Alliance, Publishing, Gaming
  • Management presentations and ad hoc business planning and business operation analyses

Requirements:

Experience

  • Experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate development or private equity (required)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in analytical positions at multinational corporations, with exposure to business development and product development
  • Consumer Industry background preferred
  • Strong experience with financial modeling
