Your role and responsibilities

In this role, the Corporate Functional Controller is responsible for providing Financial Planning and Controlling expertise to the organization by compiling and analyzing metrics, identifying trends and problems, communicating information to relevant groups and recommending actions to improve financial performance.

This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation R&D in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Conduct financial analysis of functional spending versus budget/forecast, develop projections with global/local splits, and provide transparent cost and headcount insights to management.
  • Lead forecasting cycles, annual planning (APP), and statutory billing processes, ensuring accurate cost allocation and adherence to approved methodologies.
  • Oversee month-end closing activities, MIS reporting, and ad-hoc financial reports, ensuring data accuracy through reconciliations and exception reviews.
  • Benchmark KPIs against internal and external peers and deliver financial dashboards to support strategic planning, target setting, and functional performance reviews.
  • Strengthen financial processes, controls, and SOPs; ensure audit readiness; drive standardization and automation initiatives; and support onboarding/training of FP&A Analysts.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • Professional qualifications preferred - CMA or CA.
  • 2-5 Years of experience in Accounting and Finance with FP&A.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP FICO and COPA modules, including financial reporting and profitability analysis.
  • Working knowledge of additional SAP modules such as Sales & Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), Projects (PS), and Material Master (MM).
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, cross-country teams
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to quality
