At Genmab, we’re committed to building extra[not]ordinary futures together, by developing antibody products and pioneering, knock-your-socks-off therapies that change the lives of patients and the future of cancer treatment and serious diseases. From our people who are caring, candid, and impact-driven to our business, which is innovative and rooted in science, we believe that being proudly unique, determined to be our best, and authentic is essential to fulfilling our purpose.

The Role

At Genmab, the Associate Director, Security Operations is a security professional who has a passion for technology and cybersecurity and possesses a broad knowledge and experience in all security operations processes, and innovative security monitoring solutions. This individual understands that detective and reactive security capabilities are key pillars in an organization's cybersecurity strategy and that collaboration with partners like IT Operations and Quality Assurance, an understanding of business requirements, goals, and processes, and critical data flows is important for this role. Additionally, a solid grasp of security events, risks, threats, and attack vectors is crucial. This person combines this knowledge and expertise with a hands-on mentality, team leadership skills, and capabilities in designing and implementing fit-for-purpose solutions, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.

This role is based out of our Copenhagen site, Denmark and is hybrid which means that you are expected to be working from the office 60% of the time.

The primary roles are leading the Security Operations Team of Genmab and owning detective and responsive security processes, such as security incident, vulnerability management, threat intelligence/analysis, and security monitoring. Being the professional team leader (not team members in direct report) requires this person to define and drive toward clear goals and targets while ensuring that the team works efficiently together. This includes defining strategies and roadmaps to strengthen Genmab's security posture in alignment with the Director, Information Security DK, the Information Security, Risk & Compliance team, as well as IT Operations, as part of Genmab's overall cybersecurity strategy.

In addition, the Associate Director, Security Operations will act as the First Point of Contact for Genmab’s Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) and Managed Service Provider (MSP). In strong collaboration with the MS(S)Ps, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and improvement of detective and responsive security capabilities with the help of security monitoring use cases and security incident response playbooks.

Furthermore, this new team member is expected to engage with and support IT business collaborators, projects, and products by taking an active role in defining security monitoring strategies and realizing monitoring needs by, among other things, identifying relevant data flows and critical security events and assisting, together with the Security Operations Team, in the implementation of business rules, triggers, alarms, and similar mechanisms.

An important part of this function will be aligning the performance and execution of security processes and procedures with other IT & Digital teams. The successful candidate will also chair Security Operations Board meetings, in which different operational IT&D groups are represented. Driving improvements and resolving gaps in Genmab's security posture requires strong capabilities in uniting the goals and vision of several teams.

The right candidate must have strong capabilities in leading a team, driving toward results, working independently, taking ownership, and being willing to take acceptable risks.

The Associate Director, Security Operations will report to the Director of Information Security DK.
