Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the execution of a project release (new product and sustenance) in alignment with the program team; ensuring on-time and predictable release with good quality.
- Demonstrates excellent project management skills – estimation, planning, scheduling, stakeholder management, risk/dependency management.
- Demonstrates customer focus by ensuring quality of software releases and timely resolution of field reported issues.
- Adapts/performs the project management in the context of an agile team:
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as - daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews.
- Conducts sprint retrospectives, drive action plans and administrates scrum boards.
- Create and maintain project timelines and project resource plans.
- Removes impediments and accomplishes/exceeds the sprint goal/velocity.
- Work independently and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project meets organizational standards and customer needs.
- Collaborate with the team of engineers to build increment plan & track delivery.
- Drive readiness for team to face audits both internal or external.
- Demonstrate superior knowledge of software development life cycles to collaborate with Build and Release teams.
- Collaborate with team members and provide guidance to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions during development & testing cycles.
- Contribute to testing if needed (based on bandwidth availability).
- Drive for continuous improvements (Process, Product, Quality, Metrics etc.)
- Provides guidance to development and test teams with respect to overall development process/framework.
- Leads and coaches the team members.
Qualifications / Experience and/or Background
- Bachelor degree in any engineering discipline with 6 to 9 years of experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in project management/ scrum master.
- PMP Certification will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to medical devices or healthcare projects would be a definite plus with exposure to medical regulatory standards/processes related to FDA/ISO/IEC.
- Strong visualization & reporting skills using latest project management & reporting tools.
- Strong presentation skills and having had the exposure of reporting out project status to senior management.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication/influencing/negotiation skills required.
- Demonstrated facilitation and negotiation skills in driving closure on product/program-related decisions/issues.
- Capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience.
- Ability to influence outside the immediate scope of responsibility.
