SMX is seeking an accomplished Sr. Project Manager to lead a complex program in a federal regulatory environment. This is a critical key personnel role requiring a seasoned professional who can orchestrate enterprise-level initiatives while navigating sophisticated government organizational structures. This is a hybrid role supporting a Washington DC based customer.

Essential Duties:
 
- Lead and manage complex projects leveraging agile frameworks and best practices
- Orchestrate scope, schedule, risks, issues, and dependencies across teams
- Manage and control program funds and resources with precision and accountability
- Communicate technology scope and risk mitigation strategies to diverse stakeholders
- Deliver compelling presentations and executive-level reports with clarity and impact
- Ensure technical deliverables meet or exceed expectations through agile methodologies
- Navigate and thrive within intricate government organizational structures
 
Required Skills:

Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Current Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent)

Professional Experience
- Minimum of 10 years successfully leading complex programs and projects using agile frameworks and methodologies
- Proven track record navigating intricate government organizational environments

     - Track record of managing interdependent initiatives across multiple concurrent teams
     - Strong capability in balancing scope, timelines, risks, and cross-team dependencies
     - Proficiency in budget management and resource optimization

- Technical Communication
     - Ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
     - Experience developing and presenting executive-level reports and visualizations
     - Skill in articulating technology roadmaps and risk management strategies to stakeholders

- Agile Delivery
     - Deep understanding of agile principles with hands-on experience ensuring deliverables meet technical standards
     - Capacity to maintain quality and velocity while managing evolving requirements

 
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years working within Federal Financial regulatory agencies
- 2+ years of Federal Government Agency experience
- Background leading enterprise-scale data modernization, analytics platforms, or technology transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and continuous delivery pipelines

$159,800$255,600 USD
