Practice Overview
We are family and internal medicine. We are set up in 4 PODS; 22 medical assistants, which includes 3 MA floats, 2 SR MA, and a Care Team Lead. Our building is like a one stop shop for patients as we have Lab, X-ray and PT on in addition to the specialties that house our space.
Office Culture
We are a big family here and this is a busy office that has a lot going on all at one time. Staff here need to be open to change as it happens quite often; whether it’s a companywide or just within our office. The Medical Assistant position in our office does direct patient care; they assist with small procedures, chart prep, rooming, point of care responsibilities, prior authorizations, closing gaps in care, administering immunizations, scanning, filling out and preparing forms, calling patients to be proactive on their appts, calling their no shows, performing EKGs. We are looking for MA’s that are flexible, meaning they stay until their last patient is checked out for the day, and at times that can run past their scheduled shift. We need someone that can work in fast paced environment and deal with different personalities.
