This role has increased ownership and scope, with responsibility for managing complex forecasts, leading expense and resource optimization initiatives, and serving as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders.
You will work cross-functionally to provide transparency into financial performance, influence planning decisions, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scale. In addition to core FP&A responsibilities, you will lead high-impact, value-adding projects and contribute to the evolution of finance processes, tools, and ways of working. You will be expected to translate financial analysis into clear, actionable insights, communicate effectively with diverse audiences, and mentor junior analysts as the team grows. Strong analytical thinking, project management skills, and a solid grasp of financial planning concepts are vital for excelling in this position.
Responsibilities:
Business Partnering: Act as a primary finance partner, supporting the ELT (Executive Leadership Team) and their senior leadership team, leading presentations of month end results and quarterly forecast, and influencing decision-making through data-driven insights and thoughtful recommendations.
Financial Analysis: Own and analyze complex financial data across OpEx categories, identify key drivers and variances, and recommend strategic actions to improve cost efficiency and performance.
Forecasting: Lead the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, including detailed OpEx and headcount planning, and continuously improve forecast accuracy.
Planning: Play a key role in the annual budgeting and long-range planning processes, partnering with business leaders to align spending with strategic priorities.
Financial Reporting: Develop and deliver high-quality financial reporting, dashboards, and executive-ready presentations that provide clear insights and tell a compelling financial story.
Resource Allocation: Own expense and headcount management for supported teams, ensuring disciplined resource allocation and accountability.
Continuous improvement: Proactively identify and implement improvements to FP&A processes, models, and reporting to increase efficiency, scalability, and insight.
Project Management: Lead complex, cross-functional financial initiatives from concept through execution, such as:
Cost Optimization: Identify areas to optimize costs, develop financial models to quantify the potential savings, and track the progress of the initiative.
Business Process Improvements: Identify and implement improvements to the financial planning and analysis processes such as streamlining data collection procedures, automating tasks, or developing new reporting templates.
Enhancing Financial Reporting: providing more transparency into finances, working towards more real-time results, and providing actionable insights to support business decisions.
You Have:
Finance Background: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Progressive Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, finance, or related roles, with demonstrated ownership of complex financial analysis, forecasting, and cross-functional projects, and comfort presenting to and partnering with senior-level leaders.
Business Partnering Experience: Act as a primary finance partner for assigned functions, confidently engaging with senior-level leaders to influence decision-making through clear, data-driven insights and recommendations.
Strategic Mindset: Ability to think beyond the numbers, connect financial insights to business outcomes, and influence stakeholders.
Ownership and Initiative: Self-directed, comfortable operating with ambiguity, and motivated to proactively identify and solve problems.
Prioritization skills: Strong attention to detail while balancing multiple priorities and consistently delivering on deadlines.
Stakeholder Communication: Lead and participate in meetings with senior stakeholders, clearly articulating financial insights, risks, and tradeoffs, and representing FP&A with credibility and confidence
Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to navigate the general ledger and financial statements.
Expense and Headcount Management: Proven experience managing OpEx, CapEx, and headcount, with a strong focus on efficiency and ROI.
Financial Modeling: Advanced experience building and maintaining financial models for forecasting, long-range planning, and business cases.
