Responsibilities:

  • Tool Design: Develop and design tools and molds, particularly for elastomer processing, ensuring efficient and stable production processes.
  • CAD Modeling: Create and modify 3D models and technical drawings (SolidWorks; Siemens NX) with high precision and technical depth.
  • Manufacturing Support: Collaborate closely with production teams and provide hands‑on support through machining tasks, to prepare or implement technical solutions.
  • Process Management: Oversee the technical process from initial design to the introduction of new or optimized tools; contribute to development and change projects.
  • Analysis & Optimization: Evaluate existing tools, perform technical root‑cause analyses (tool life, quality, performance), and derive improvement actions.
  • Documentation & Costing: Prepare technical documentation and support production, time, and cost estimations for new or modified tools.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute constructive ideas to continuously improve tools, processes, and standards.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Education: Completed technical vocational training, e.g., Toolmaker, Precision Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, or a comparable qualification; technician‑level training is an advantage.
  • Experience: 5–10 years of relevant experience in tool design or tools engineering.
  • CAD Expertise: Confident use of SolidWorks or Siemens NX.
  • Manufacturing Skills: Experience in machining (turning/milling), ideally with Hermle machines.
  • Project Skills: Knowledge of technical project management and introduction of new tools.
  • Language: Basic English skills and good German skills (spoken and written).
