As a Tactical Capacity Engineer, you are responsible for analyzing, managing, and communicating short‑term manufacturing capacity to ensure alignment with business plans. This role owns the capacity heatmap to provide clear line‑level visibility, identifies performance‑to‑plan gaps, and drives actionable capacity improvement and maxout strategies.

You will work cross‑functionally to align capacity business rules, lead capacity maxout and optimization initiatives, and establish robust capacity reports and indices. This position applies industrial engineering and manufacturing science principles to proactively manage capacity performance, utilization, and related metrics.

  • Analyze and summarize MA performance versus plan, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Analyze and summarize RPT performance versus plan, highlighting risks and recovery actions
  • Own and maintain the capacity heatmap to enable clear line‑direction and decision visibility
  • Drive cross‑functional communication on capacity status, gaps, and key metrics
  • Partner closely with ME and IE engineers to analyze constraints and identify capacity opportunities
  • Identify capacity gaps through application of industrial engineering and manufacturing science methodologies
  • Develop, validate, and maintain capacity indices, metrics, and reporting systems
  • Lead and execute Maxout projects to unlock incremental capacity
  • Lead SIPP projects to improve sustainable capacity performance
  • Drive offload initiatives to balance load and optimize network capacity
  • Execute utilization improvement projects to maximize asset effectiveness
