This role sits within the GSK Ware Site’s MSAT (Manufacturing Science and Technology) function (within Global Supply Chain - GSC) and reports directly into the Site’s MSAT Director.
Job purpose:
The role acts as the site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one or more Technical Standards, which includes Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Cleaning Validation Lifecycle Management. The role provides site expertise on the technical standards defined by the global teams, which are transferred across the manufacturing site via coaching, learning and guidance.
The position operates in a complex matrix environment and through participation in the Community of Practices. These teams are represented by various GSK manufacturing and supply sites as well as global MSAT Standard SMEs to share good practice and work in effective implementation of the technical standards across GSC sites.
Key Responsibilities (include):
Owning the Cleaning Lifecycle (development and validation) for the Ware manufacturing site (and working closely with other supply chain site experts in contamination control).
Provision of Technical and Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) business process, including managing the deployment of the PLM Global Strategy to the Ware Site (maintaining and improving standards).
Mentoring and coaching site teams; providing expertise and support on the relevant technical standards, building site capability in core MSAT standards and engaging within the Community of Practice to drive improvement.
Contribute to the GSC Technical Standards, including creation of tools/templates/guidance and their effective implementation on site. Establish KPIs to drive continuous improvement of the standard (and their implementation across the site) and propose right site governance to implement, deliver the technical standards (and any related improvement projects). Escalate any issue encountered during the effective implementation of the standards on site.
Work in partnership with the various global MSAT Standards colleagues (including other site MSAT Standards SMEs) to deliver key projects, continuous improvements and initiatives within areas of expertise.
Maintain knowledge of global regulations and guidance, global regulatory expectations, inspection intelligence, innovative and new technologies, industry standards and registered risks (pertaining to area of expertise).
About You:
This role is a great opportunity to be instrumental in developing and delivering GSK’s MSAT standards strategy at the Ware manufacturing site. You will be working at the cutting edge of science and technology delivery within GSK, in a high-profile role with senior stake-holder involvement. As this role is multi-faceted and includes liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders (including on-site production/operations teams and senior managers), you must be a highly motivated person who has strong experience of working in complex technical and/or manufacturing situations. You will be resilient and calm under pressure, with strong people skills and a proven ability to influence people to achieve and drive performance. You will have a strong continuous improvement mindset and be hands-on in your approach.

Basic Qualifications:
Relevant degree qualifications (eg; Science, Technical or Engineering degree).
Knowledge/experience of technical standard with proven application and delivery obtained from working in a complex manufacturing processes (eg; validation life cycle for cleaning, product and process).
Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and understanding of its impact on own role (and the implications of not following cGMP)
