Position Purpose:

The Senior Manager – Security & Safety will drive the development and standardization of security policies and programs to safeguard corporate business operations. The Senior Manager is responsible for supporting security operations, safety, business continuity, and emergency response, as

well as physical security design/installation globally

Job Description:

  • Facilitate, coordinate, and manage the creation and execution of security action plans including business continuity management (BCM), Business Impact Analysis (BIA), crisis management, and incident response.

  • Support day-to-day security operations, including guard force management, alarm response, and special event management.

  • Assess, evaluate, plan, and arrange third-party security services.

  • Review, manage, and monitor the effectiveness of contracted out security services/resources.

  • Conduct security threat/risk assessments and in consultation with the IT Governance and Compliance as well as Legal team deploy mitigating security measures to manage identified security threats/risks.

  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and implement security awareness programs.

  • Develop and oversee standard operating procedures for designs, configuration, and implementation of physical security systems for both people protection and the effective storage and management of prototypes and other sensitive devices.

  • Continuously review, implement, and maintain effective security policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Develop metrics to improve individual, team, system, and site performance. establish and implement effective, predictable, and measurable procedures/processes to be communicated clearly among stakeholders.

  • Conduct investigations, audits, special event coordination, and other safety, security, or business continuity efforts as business conditions warrant.

  • Partner with management to create a security-conscious culture.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in the new product development process.

  • Monitor the security environment and take proactive measures to minimize the impact of adverse changes on all corporate business locations globally.

  • Provide timely security advice based on an assessment of security risks and threats to ensure informed business decisions.

  • Provide input into and support security project designs and implementation including support of Construction Administration for security fit-outs.

  • Create, establish, implement, and validate compliance with security programs across the security spectrum including physical security design standards, security awareness training, and emergency response.

  • Respond to physical security and workplace safety emergencies, bomb threats, fire and intrusion alarms, following emergency response procedures

  • Recommend security procedures for asset classification systems, system acquisition, system development, system maintenance, access control, program models, or reporting tools

  • An Occupational Health & Safety Sr. Manager is responsible in ensuring that everyone in the company complies with

  • health and safety laws. Also responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace.

  • Establish and promote maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions in a business through formulating general safety, fire prevention, and health policies and measures

  • Devise and coordinate safety programs that will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness

  • Assist line management personnel in meeting their obligations under the relevant Occupational Health & Safety legislation, such as ongoing safety education, hazard identification, and elimination

  • Coordinate ongoing training for safety and environmental awareness at all levels of the workforce and regularly verify that tasks are correctly executed

  • Conduct training for Emergency Response Teams set up in workplaces

  • Inspect the workplace regularly in cooperation with client agencies to audit safety and environmental procedures, and report findings to line management and client agencies as appropriate

  • Investigate accidents, and prepare and maintain required reports. Identify countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence

  • Provide new hire orientation outlining the company’s high expectations regarding safety rules and regulations

  • Promote a proactive safety culture focused on incident prevention and regulatory compliance

  • Organize and participate in safety committee activities

  • Develop specific safety objectives and create action plans to meet those objectives

  • Maintain, review, and report safety performance, identifying opportunities for improvement along with implementing preventative and corrective actions as required

Knowledge

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Law Enforcement, Business Management or and equivalent education.

  • Experience: 10-12 years of relevant experience in Workplace Security and Safety; 5-7 years in a Senior Management capacity.

  • Fluency and familiarity with the different regulatory and governance frameworks in managing outsourced security services in APAC, most particularly in PH

  • Familiarity in computing billable manhours for outsourced security services

  • Security/Business Continuity, ISO, disaster recovery disciplines, and global corporate security experience

  • CFE, CPP, PSP, CISSP, or similar certifications, and Occupational Safety and Health certifications

  • Experience in the development of security policies, trend analysis, metrics-intelligence interpretation, security/risk threats, and investigation management experience
