ROLE DESCRIPTION

Role Summary: 

The Ventures and Acquisitions Practitioner provides functional subject matter expertise, project management, leadership and service delivery support for the execution of end-to-end life cycle of Accenture’s mergers and acquisitions transactions globally. They are accountable for the success, effectiveness and on-time delivery of functional activities related to due diligence, solution planning and integration for primary stakeholders and sponsoring organization of acquisition (Operating Group/Growth Platform and/or Geographies). They may partner with the Global V&A Deal Execution team to contribute to the success of the overall process.

Key Responsibilities: 

This role exists across multiple career levels and/or functions and depending on the functional requirements of the role, some or all of the following key responsibilities will apply.

  • Ensure implementation of standard processes for defining requirements, providing business insights, setting priorities, reviewing solutions, providing planning input and communicating to stakeholders of business, cross functional groups and  key individuals across the organization
  • Will support development of the preliminary Procurement solution plan for key Procurement decisions, including but not limited to understanding target company’s supplier and contractor portfolio details; steps to transition contractor and supplier portfolio’s to Accenture Policy and Procedures; establish and executing Requisition To Pay Planning and transition, Communications to stakeholders regarding Source To Pay transition process, timing, work plan and budget.
  • Define and manage due diligence data validation approach and processes
  • Oversee and drive assigned Procurement due diligence activities: identify, track, manage and/or resolve Procurement due diligence issues and work plans
  • Plan, oversee and drive assigned Procurement integration planning and execution activities for each Mergers and Acquisition transaction
  • May integrate and interlock with other functional areas to ensure Procurement work stream impacts are understood and factored in the overall solution
  • May interface with MU leadership to ensure MU / entity specific inputs are factored in from a solutions perspective
  • Create adequate documentation so as to enable creation of reusable assets for further use

Qualifications:

Skills and Experience:

  • Deep knowledge of Accenture Procurement processes required and supply chain/warehouse/manufacturing/retail experience
  • Previous Ventures & Acquisition experience preferred
  • Technical aptitude to understand integration designs and general troubleshooting
  • Ability to effectively coordinate between multiple teams/workstreams to drive forward a holistic end-to-end solution
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Experience working with leadership and a strong executive presence
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong initiative and drive
  • Ability to successfully connect, collaborate and execute in a multi-cultural, multi-location team
