Team/Role Overview
The Business Execution Chief of Staff is a key role supporting the delivery of Markets Operations objectives through the management of people strategy, location strategy, training and development, reporting, risk governance and fiscal management. The Chief of Staff works closely with the Global Heads of Operations and with Business Partners to maintain an optimal workforce model and effective management of key business drivers across Markets Operations to enable execution versus strategic goals.
What you will do
Develop a broad and detailed understanding of the organisation's landscape, culture, processes, and Technology.
Preparing, analysing, contextualising, and maintaining metrics for measuring success, opportunities for improvement, management reporting and escalation.
Develop an understanding of the annual financial plan, allocations processes and budget planning.
Managing various critical deliverables, across numerous stakeholders, in a pressurised environment.
Preparation of materials for senior management steering committees, including tracking and remediation of resulting actions.
Develop, implement, and maintain a best-in-class training and development strategy with supporting tools where required.
Reviewing opportunities in location strategy for optimal footprint to help service our clients.
Analysis of progress against people and attrition objectives - communicating key risks, defining mitigation strategies, forecasting trends, and helping to oversee to resolution to ensure alignment of business goals.
Engagement with key stakeholders across Operations, Technology, HR, and the Business.

Effective people-management skills to provide direction, feedback, support, and encouragement for career development.
What we will need from you
Extensive relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial services industry.
Experience in effectively managing a team and critical deliverables
Collaborative, agile and proactive; a leader who can positively and productively add impact.
Self-reliant, good analytical person, results oriented with diligence.
Strong risk management, regulatory and control mindset.
Ability to establish and build trust with professionals throughout the business as a leader, adviser, and business partner to the organisation with a clear client orientation.
Strong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise and comfortable interacting with senior management across multiple stakeholders.
Provides evaluative judgement based on analysis of information in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources.
Strong awareness of both external and internal best practice perspectives, maintaining a balanced and fresh viewpoint.
Ability to conceptualise aspects of the organisation's model and its future development.
