The Red Hat Konflux infrastructure team is looking for an Intern interested in Cloud Service Infrastructure quality and performance to join us in Ra’anana, Israel. Our organisation works on a Secure Supply Chain solution called Konflux (find out about Konflux upstream here). In this role, you will work with us on infrastructure as a code. You will learn about secure supply chain problems and how to solve them. You will help with cluster management, learn how to configure networks between different cluster providers, how provisioning of VMs works for multi-arch builds and how to monitor and manage multiple service applications.

Your Mission: Quality isn't just about finding bugs; it's about engineering confidence. In this role, you won't just run tests (those are fully automated!)—you will be an integrated part of the development lifecycle. Your main goal is to make our platform "bulletproof" by evolving our CI/CD pipelines, hardening our testing infrastructure, and ensuring new features are production-ready from Day 1.

What you will do:

  • Design and Implement Tests: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient automated tests for our cloud-based services using Golang (e.g., standard testing package with preference to Ginkgo).

  • Monitor failures in existing automated tests to catch possible flakiness and failures that are not related to committed code changes.

  • Keep the development team aware of documentation and code coverage deficiencies.

  • Participate in the design process of new features as the Voice Of Quality, giving input on the testability of suggested architecture and help design the various testing levels and the tasks to achieve them.

  • Reviewing testing code produced by the development team to ensure it’s effective, readable, maintainable and efficient.

  • Develop internal scripts and tools to assist the development team in debugging, reproducing bugs, generating test data and testing code changes locally before committing them.

  • Monitoring of large scale applications and addressing anomalies.

What you will bring:

  • Strong fundamentals in at least one imperative programming language (such as Python, C, or C++) are required, with experience in Go being a plus.Basic knowledge of testing frameworks.

  • Theoretical knowledge of software quality methodologies and testing pyramid.

  • Experience with linux systems

  • Experience in collaborating with LLM coding assistants critically, to produce high-quality, reasonable, stable and efficient code. The opposite of vibe coding.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS) and microservices architecture.

  • Ability to see a system as a whole before focusing on one of its components.

  • Strong professional integrity, maintaining high standards for assigned tasks even in a fast-paced environment where others may be focused on immediate fixes or shortcuts.

  • Proactive task management, capable of switching to other work to stay productive when waiting for answers from busy or  international colleagues.

  • Ability to find answers independently by researching documentation and code, without relying solely on AI tools or waiting for experienced colleagues.

  • Good communication skills both for explaining yourself and the ability to be firm but kind.

  • Open mindedness for multi-cultural work environments and for working with people from many different countries.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in Israel during the whole duration of the internship and eligible to begin a full-time role in 2027 or 2028

  • Must be available for the internship from May 2026 till April 2027

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

  • Familiarity with Observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk

  • Familiarity with building & debugging applications on Kubernetes clusters

  • Familiarity with Terraform,  Tekton and ArgoCD

Due to the limited number of internship opportunities and the high volume of applications, we may not be able to speak with every candidate. To maximize your chances of moving forward in the process, please ensure your CV clearly outlines your education, relevant projects (link to your Github account), and extracurricular activities.

Please apply for a maximum of three internship roles that best match your interests and skills.
