The Opportunity:

On our team of experienced professionals, you’ll use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to support your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We’re looking for someone like you to help support national security.

You’ll closely collaborate with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in AWS to design, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components. You’ll have the chance to work within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. With access to our internal AWS labs you’ll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our clients’ problems, and you’ll partner with stakeholders and your team to deliver the right technical solutions. Whether modernizing legacy computing platforms and applications or creating new ones from scratch, you’ll have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You have:

  • 5+ years of experience with enterprise network architecture, engineering, and operations support for mission-critical systems

  • 3+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing

  • Experience administering DNS or DHCP in hybrid or cloud-joined environments, and designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network monitoring infrastructures using tools such as SolarWinds, to ensure system availability, performance visibility, and configuration compliance

  • Experience with core network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, SNMP, DHCP, DNS, and virtualized environments

  • Experience with the OWASP Software Assurance Maturity Model or DevSecOps Maturity Mode

  • Experience supporting Operations and Maintenance (O&M) engineering activities, including system patching, change control, lifecycle management, and capacity optimization

  • Ability to implement and manage client certificate authentication, such as mutual TLS, and OCSP vali­dation within APM or custom iRules

  • Ability to manage SSL/TLS certificates, including generation, renewal, import, export, and trou­bleshooting certificate issues

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience mentoring junior team members and participating in cross-functional project team

  • Experience in network automation using scripting languages such as Python and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform

  • Experience developing engineering documentation, network baselines, and standardized deployment processes in alignment with Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-53, and organizational compliance requirements

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
