Job Description:

Dave & Buster's Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cost Leader to join our growing organization. As a key member of our finance team, you will report to our Chief Financial Officer and play a critical role in managing costs and ensuring that our business is operating efficiently. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze costs to ensure they are in line with budget and identify any variances
  • Develop and implement cost control strategies to minimize expenditures and maximize profitability
  • Build relationships with C-level executives and partner to design and implement strategic cost plans
  • Manage procurement processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and value for money, in close collaboration with our Chief Procurement Officer
  • Conduct regular cost audits to identify areas for improvement and cost savings
  • Prepare cost reports for management and provide recommendations for cost reduction and control
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize costs and improve overall performance
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in cost control best practices
  • Prepare Board-level communications that describe status of cost initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of financial software, SAP Concur, and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cost management role in relevant industries or at investment banking, private equity, and/or consulting firms like Alix Partners, Alvarez & Marshall, McKinsey, Bain, BCG
  • Management experience required, with proven ability to lead teams of analysts in the context of cost/procurement engagements
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and financial analysis
  • Proven track record of successfully managing costs and identifying cost savings opportunities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
