Southfields Veterinary Specialists (SFVS) are currently recruiting for a cardiologist who is board certified or residency-trained to join our multi-disciplinary team of specialists. 

The hospital teams include European and American boarded specialists and board-eligible consultants in Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology and Radiation Oncology, Anaesthesia, Ophthalmology and Exotics. The practice encourages a collegiate atmosphere and offers excellent opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration, advancement of skills, and clinical research. 

This is an exciting time to join Southfields in our superb purpose-built hospital. This role offers the chance to shape the future of the Cardiology service—leading its growth, driving innovation, and establishing a dedicated team to support its development 

This exciting role will require the candidate to 

- Provide clinical services as a cardiology consultant 
- Develop and grow the SFVS cardiology service 
- Work collaboratively with all other services and foster good relationships 
- Develop new ways of working and SOPs within our centre 
- Demonstrate professional standards that will advance patient care 
- Be an ambassador for the team

- Desire to provide the best clinical service to all our patients 
- Ability to help develop and shape a growing service 
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually. 

 

Specific experiences/qualifications  

 
You must fulfil the following requirements: 
- Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (or eligible to become a member) 
- Successful completion of a recognised veterinary cardiology residency programme 
- Strong communication skills and professional approach
