Position Summary
In your role as an Experienced Engineer for the Occupational Health & Safety team at the Austin and Taylor sites, who will design, implement, and evaluate ergonomics solutions across complex industrial and office environments.Role and Responsibilities
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Planning, designing, developing, and verifying mitigations to existing and future ergonomics risks in complex industrial manufacturing environments and offices.
Managing risk reduction projects and associated initiatives, and supporting incident investigation, implementation of company safety standards and best practices, and providing information and metrics in support of achieving functional and business goals and objectives.
Planning, implementing, and assessing occupational health and safety programs and processes to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
Conducting ergonomics field risk assessments for industrial and office settings and leading the ergonomics team and provide advanced ergonomics training
Managing costs within budget of assigned ergonomic equipment and projects for employee posture aides and reasonable accommodations
Participating, and leading on occasion, incident analysis to determine and make visible injury and near miss root causes, including corrective and preventative fixes, following the hierarchy of controls, to prevent incident re-occurrence
Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Occupational Health, Occupational Biomechanics, Ergonomics, Human Factors, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent and relevant discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in Ergonomics, Industrial Engineering, Human Factors, or relevant disciplines
Preferred: Board certified as an Associate Ergonomic Professional (AEP), Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE), Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
