Leidos is seeking an Executive Protection Professional in Reston, VA who will have responsibilities within the Leidos Executive Protection Program.  The preferred candidate must exemplify professionalism and reliability and be able to work calmly and competently under pressure and in many different settings.

Responsibilities:


Provide close protection and other security-related functions for Leidos Executives during domestic and/or international assignments

Transport executives and principal visitors to and from company locations, special events, customer sites, and specified locations within local and outlying areas.


Perform protective advance fieldwork and on-site threat vulnerability assessments


Conduct liaison with law enforcement agencies, Regional Security Officers, and risk management companies as necessary
 

Respond to emergencies and perform initial first aid response, as needed


Deescalate tense situations or individuals that arise at Leidos facilities and Corporate Events and the Executive's residence


Complete travel and expense reports and other administrative requirements in a timely manner

Operate and maintain communication tools, assigned equipment, and vehicles in accordance with company SOP
 

Assist with risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments and development of emergency response plans related to Executives, the Board of Directors, Leidos facilities as required


Provide rapid response and investigative support to relevant security incidents or issues


Assist with special projects and other assignments as requested by Corporate Security

Basic Qualifications:
 

High School diploma

Possess a current Driver's License with a clean record, a valid passport, and be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally based upon the schedule of the protectees


The candidate must qualify for the Department of Homeland Security’s Global Entry Program
Basic first-aid knowledge and CPR certification


Must meet all Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Personal Protection Specialist (PPS) requirements


Must have or be able to achieve successful VA DCJS certifications in armed and unarmed personal protection specialist as well as basic and advanced handgun


Meet the qualifications for Virginia concealed handgun permit, Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act (LEOSA), or HR218.


Completion of a recognized executive protection training course, plus 3+ years of recent experience in executive protection or law enforcement


Must have defensive driving training


Maintain composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in high-pressure situations.


Must be physically fit and able to provide protective coverage during physically taxing activities


Have knowledge of unarmed self-defense tactics (use of force)

Effective oral and written communications skills


Ability to analyze complex information and solve complex problems


Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction or supervision

Preferred Qualifications:
 

Top Secret Security Clearance

Active Paramedic, First Responder, or EMT certifications

Experience with Security Camera systems/CCTV, access control, and alarm systems

Experience dealing with workplace violence issues

De-escalation training
TSCM experience

OSINT training and experience

This position is overtime eligible.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00
