Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Team and Position Summary:
• This position is part of the FP&A Reporting and Analytics COE and will be based out of Walmart Global Tech Chennai office. This team primarily provides reporting and analytics support to WMT HQ Finance Team and drive continuous improvement/enhancements to the digital reporting suite.
 

• This is an exciting role for a finance professional having 3-4 years of experience in FP&A reporting with robust understanding of FP&A tools and technology, ability to support transformations & ongoing improvements of different Walmart segments’ FP&A processes.

What you will do:

  • Exciting opportunity to be part of growing Reporting & Analytics team and help to build truly scalable products and applications for forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes 
  • Responsible for standard run of transformed reports and enhancements 
  • Define business requirements and recommend solutions to the business in the form of user stories and other document artifacts. Stewards key documentation needed to sustain the reports 
  • Data source identification and management using SQL and other data sources
  • Development of dashboards using data visualisation tools, preferably Power BI. For live reports that are stabilized – assumes ‘Product Owner’ role 
  • Participate in global and regional information management meetings to align on priorities, development design and improvements
  • Provides analytical capabilities once capacity arises​ 
  • Ensures report used in ‘normal course of business’​
  • Subject Matter Advisor (SMA) of segment/function and supports the Pod Leads with simple analytics requests
  • Monitor generation of reports, tests for consistency & quality, analyses outputs and adds L1 commentary
  • Good coordination skills working with cross-functional teams and multiple projects

What you will bring:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline with strong technical understanding and advanced knowledge of finance & reporting
  • Proficiency in Power BI development architecture Minimum 3-4 years of experience in SQL.
  • Experience of working with Fin-Tech and product teams in matrix environment 
  • Ability to cut through ambiguity and navigate in a complex business landscape
