About the team

Zillow is seeking a strategic, highly accountable leader to join Zillow Group’s Vendor Management Compliance organization. Reporting to the Vice-President, Compliance, this role will be responsible for the design and continuous improvement of a robust vendor management platform to help power Zillow’s transformation of the real estate experience. The Senior Manager, Vendor Oversight will lead delivery of key capabilities including Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), Regulated Vendor Management, Supplier Performance Monitoring, Supplier Diversity/Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), and other business-critical supplier programs.

  • Design and build scalable vendor management processes with the objective of ensuring that our vendor population is effective, efficient, risk mitigated, and appropriately diverse, consistent with Zillow’s mission

  • Develop and implement vendor management activities consistent with responsibilities, including but not limited to supplier segmentation models, SLAs, metrics and/or scorecards

  • Partner with Sourcing and Procurement Operations to ensure a seamless linkage of processes and tools and an outstanding customer experience across the entire supplier lifecycle

  • Lead and inspire a diverse portfolio of supplier management programs staffed by highly engaged leaders and individual contributors; provide direction, coordination, coaching and mentoring to team members

  • Collaborate with key internal partners to evaluate, design, and implement a scalable Third Party Risk Management (TPRM)/vendor risk management program

  • Work with Sourcing, Legal, Procurement Operations, Information Security, Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, and other partners to continuously improve supplier management frameworks, rhythms, and practices, with an eye toward efficiency, automation, user experience and appropriate controls

  • Responsible for maintenance, enforcement, and continued evaluation of Zillow’s Regulated VM program and policy

  • Develop and deliver informative and innovative reporting with relevant business insights on operational supplier management metrics

  • Champion Zillow’s Supplier Diversity/Supplier ESG program in support of Zillow’s Core Values and commitment to equity

  • Monitor and respond to vendor risk and performance issues; review and approve proposed supplier risk mitigation strategies

  • Ensure Zillow Group suppliers remain focused on our mutual goals, plan and invest to meet our evolving needs and have scalability to support our changing requirements

  • Use business intelligence, analytics, and a deep understanding of contract terms and conditions to identify and realize supplier cost savings opportunities, risk management strategies, process improvements, and supplier innovations to help Zillow Group move fast and think big

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $126,300.00 - $201,700.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

You are passionate about helping Zillow achieve its business objectives while remaining in compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices. The ideal candidate’s qualifications will include:

  • 10+ years of related experience in supply chain compliance and as a primary administrator of a vendor management program with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3+ years experience; or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated understanding of regulatory compliance, vendor classification, vendor audit, and risk management concepts

  • Solid experience in developing organizational and technical strategy, policies, standards and procedures for supplier qualification, oversight and audit

  • Knowledge of and work experience with vendor management systems, networks, databases, and other technical domains

  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment preferred

  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytic skills

  • Ability and desire to use metrics as means to monitor and improve performance

  • Ability to work as team leader and as a member of a team, proficiency in collaborating with internal business clients from different departments and at various levels of seniority

  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
