What this job involves
We are seeking a motivated Move Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing workplace relocations, assembling and disassembling office furniture, and performing various facility maintenance tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build a career in facilities management.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Relocate and reconfigure office equipment, furniture, and materials for associates moving between site locations
Assemble and disassemble modular office furniture, cubicles, and with various office layouts
Perform basic work such as installing shelves, hanging whiteboards, and minor repairs
Assist with general office maintenance including light mechanical repairs
Create and manage keys for office spaces
Knowledge of basic carpentry is a plus but not required (sheetrock, doors, walls, framing, painting)
Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times
Maintain an organized inventory of tools and supplies
Document completed work orders into CMMS system
Collaborate effectively with team members in a corporate environment
Daily Site Inspection walks using forms provided
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Ability to read and understand furniture assembly instructions
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
Drywall preparation/repair/prep to paint
Hanging TV’s/Monitors/whiteboards/etc… on walls
Painting walls/floors
Furniture assembly/disassembly/relocating
Mechanical Aptitude
Some basic plumbing knowledge
Other requirements:
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Reliable transportation to job sites
Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
Willingness to learn and grow within the role
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in facilities maintenance, moving, or furniture assembly
This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
