The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to leverage your Platform Engineering expertise in a high impact roleBooz Allen’s Chief Technology Office (CTO) is building a next generation end-to-end platform for development, testing, and production workloads to accelerate secure software development. We’re looking for a lead platform engineer to join the team You’ll help operate a secure, reliable, and highly available Cloud, managed hosting, and developer platform. 

You should thrive in a fast-paced environment and translate business and development team requirements into automated platform solutionsYou’ll be responsible for working with a security and compliance team and platform engineers to implement secure infrastructure features, configurations, and automation to create a dynamic platform-as-a-service for development teams. 

You'll leverage your expertise in Cloud, such as AWS, Cloud and network security, containers and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelinesYou'll apply excellent communication skills, work independently while leading others, and work across development teams. You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience with DevOps and Security of containerized cloud production systems, such as Kubernetes

  • 4+ years of experience with AWS and CI/CD and developer workflow automation, such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodeStar 

  • 4+ years of experience with IaC, such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or AWS CloudFormation

  • 3+ years of experience with cloud network security architecture, such as least privilege, IAM, secrets management, RBAC, and Boundary Protection

  • 3+ years experience with vulnerability management and dynamic and static code analysis 

  • 3+ years experience with hardened AMIs and Container Images, such as DoD STIGs and CIS Benchmarks

  • Experience troubleshooting platform application deployments and configurations 

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate across engineering teams 

  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance 

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with NIST SP 800-53 Security Controls 

  • Experience with Secure Software Supply Chain 

  • Experience with Security Operations, SIEMs, and Audit or Logging 

  • Experience with AWS Organizations, AWS Control Tower, AWS Landing Zone Accelerator 

  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
