About the Role

To support finance projects and handling control governance tasks

Roles and Responsibilities:

Project Management (70%)

  • Draft business requirement for Finance system enhancement and outsourcing projects
  • Discuss with system developer to make sure system design align with business requirement
  • Coordinate and perform user acceptance test (UAT) in accordance with project schedules
  • Assist to build and maintain finance database and develop various management reporting dashboards.
  • Working with IT / DNA to ensure seamless integration of finance database from various source systems on a frequent basis with latest available data.
  • Continue to improve the dashboards to be contemporaneous with regulatory and management reporting requirements.

Control governance (30%)

  • Oversee the outsourcing quality from GFS with monitoring the closing progress, review the deliverables, reconciliation and internal control report of the outsourcing party  
  • Drive process enhancement and automation on finance operational / reporting process to achieve efficiency on work and balancing of control.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on internal controls with an impact to financial reporting such as balance sheet reconciliation, and co-ordinate quarterly ICFR and FS Certificate process.
  • Other responsibilities and duties assigned by supervisor

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University graduate and a member of a recognized professional accounting body with 5 years relevant experience, preferable in life insurance
  • Good managerial skill, analytical mind and able to meet tight deadline
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Sound knowledge in financial accounting and accounting system
  • Leadership, effective staff coaching and team work
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese

Others:

  • You are required to obtain relevant licenses if your job involves in regulated activities
  • Ensure team members who perform regulated activities have obtained the relevant licenses and fulfilled the licensing requirements
